I'm sitting in the sweetest of spots right now, and I truly never anticipated being here....or how it would feel.
*My kids all dress themselves....even in the snow.
*My kids are all good people.
*My kids are pretty self-sufficient.
*My kids can "hang tight" when I need them to.
*My kids love to learn.
*My kids are kind to others.
*My kids all know when to use "me" vs. "I."

Every single time I hear Macklemore's "Good Old Days," I cry. I don't mean sometimes. I don't mean usually. It's every...single...time. I think about how wonderful it is to have these children in my life. Yes, I totally miss the baby days, even though I never thought I would, but now Michael and I get to spend time with kids who ask challenging, thought-provoking questions. We get to spend time with kids who are downright funny....on purpose.
We get to spend time learning what makes these kids tick. We get to love them. We get to hug them. We get to kiss them. And we get to do this with ease every single day. These truly are the good old days, and I can't help but think about how good they truly are.
